Schools were closed today so Mimi had Madelyn, Sarah and couple other neighborhood kids today! So we all played in the snow!!

First Snow of the Season

Yup, this is what we woke up to this morning! This is when the snow is nice. Everything is so pretty and fluffy white. When it gets dirty and starts to melt, then it is just cold,dreary and nasty! Yuck!

I added a new friend :) Kellie is a nurse who graduated in June and now works with me! She is awesome and we are glad to have her! She became a nurse and wanted to work in the NICU because both of her boys were born prematurely. Her oldest son Carson was born at 30 weeks and her youngest son Eli was born at 25 weeks. They both truely are blessings. With all the happy news of Jack, Reid and Lily, plus it is the holidays, lets all take time to remember how very lucky we are to have "TERM" healthy children. Both Carson and Eli are doing wonderfully now, minus a few bumps in the road :) Kellie also has tons of links to other premie sites, take a look, it will open your eyes. Even for me who works with them everyday. I don't see them when they go home. I just live in my "gumdrops and rainbows" world, as I say :) and believe all is well when they leave us. Please everyone give your kids a kiss and be thankful.

Baby Lily

3D pics didn't turn out the greatest :( She was all scrunched in there! Her hands and feet were both near her head and in the way. Plus, I have an anterior placenta which means the placenta is in front of her instead of behind her. So, they had to go through alot of placenta!! They say Lily weighs 6 lbs 2 oz already!!!!! I have another ultrasound at 38 weeks (in about 3 weeks). I am hoping they say she is too big and I have to be induced!! Here is for wishful thinking! Lets hope she gets here sooner than later!!

Pumpkin Carving!

She had fun! She didn't want to touch it (can't say I blame her!!). She had to use a spoon like we were! I was already to get lots of cute pics of her head to toe in pumpkin goo, but I have a kid who doesn't want to get dirty!!!

Sophie's Baby Pumpkin

She loves this pumpkin. When we got them we kept calling hers the baby pumpkin. She took it everywhere with her. If she was outside, she had this pumpkin. She would put it in the wagon and take it for rides!!! Well, I don't know if putting the face on it confused her or what, but after we carved it she got so upset and kept saying "he's crying". She was hugging it and everything! I would say,"He's not crying, he's happy" She would say "happy" and I would say, "Yup". Then she would go back to saying "He's crying" and hug him!!! Poor thing, I hope we didn't traumatize her!!! She probably thinks we scalped the "baby pumpkin" :(
