New Albany Pool

A very awesome pool! We went to the "Big" pool for the first time today! We all had fun! Sophie was a little intimidated by the slides and what not, but Jamison loved it! Sophie went down with some encouragement, but wasn't eager to go back. She would rather eat Cheetos! Sophie did love swimming in the adult pool with her floaties on! Lily loves the water, SHe just played and had a good time :) We will be going back for sure! Can't wait!

Fashion Statement

Sophie's world right now revolves around clothes. She "HAS" to wear a dress everyday. If you want her to wear something else (i.e. it is too cold for a dress) you have to sneak it as if there is nothing else to wear. At naptime she insists on wearing a nightgown, not the dress she had on previously, because you sleep in nightgowns (DUH!!!). Which brings us to these pictures. She woke up from her nap today and couldn't find her Daddy, who was outside doing yardwork, which upset her. So she got her rain boots (I don't know???) and opened the back door to try to find him. She did this all in the amount of time it took me to change Lily, because in the process of Sophie scraming for her Daddy, she woke Lily up from her nap! She is so independent!!! Besides, what two year old cares what they wear!! I am in trouble when this kid is a teenager, I tell you.

Of course it almost ends in disaster!!! Seems as if everything "almost ends in disaster"! I hope all you other new moms are having the same difficulty that I am with keeping the baby safe from the toddler!!!! Or, do I just one crazy kid??? Well, I know she's crazy, but more crazy than most I mean :) Anyway, still really cute to see Lily babble!!!

Lily is 6 months old!!!

We went for her check up today . . . 18 lbs. even and 27 in. long!! 80th for weight and 90th for height! She did have an ear infection so she is a sad girl right now :( Not only does her ear hurt, but she had to get her immunizations, poor baby! We got these pics taken on Saturday. We used a new place and I was pleased with them. We only got this one shot of Sophie. Sophie was not in a picture taking kind of mood, but that is OK, because these were really for Lily anyway. Besides, we got some pretty good ones of her last time for her 2 year! I can't believe how fast time flies!!!

Zoo

Today was our first visit to the zoo this season!! We love the zoo! It was a nice day, and surprising slow for a Saturday. Probably because the memorial tournament and the fact that everyone thought it was going to rain. We just missed the rain as we were walking out to the car. Sophie of course loved the animals. We didn't feed the birds this time because it was closed and we did that part of the zoo early. We'll get them next time :) The kangaroos were awesome though, they just laid there as we walked by, very cool!!! Sophie kept wanting to pet them and we couldn't get her to understand why she couldn't. Yeah, I know they are color cordinated, I really didn't plan that. I realized that after I had their clothes picked out, oh well!!

C.O.S.I. Trip #2

We went to C.O.S.I. again today!! Sophie had so much fun playing there!! I had to drag her away kicking and screaming to lunch after two hours of playing!!! We ate lunch then Sophie and Jamison went back fo more! We were there until after two, Sophie barely acted like she was tired, she just didn't want to stop playing. Lily had lots of fun playing in water, so cute!!! We love Uncle Altan, Aunt Atlanta and Jamison . . . Can't wait to go back :)

Breakfast

Lily got up first today. Of course, Sophie woke up while I was feeding Lily her oatmeal. I put the oatmeal on the table, went upstairs and got Sophie. I was out in the kitchen getting Sophie's milk and cereal. This is what I found when I came back in the living room with Sophie's stuff. Did I save Lily??? Oh no, I grabbed the camera and started taping :)

Sort of . . . minus the slide . . . we have slide drama . . . long story . . . But you get the idea . . . just pretend there is a slide :) We should hopefully have the slide in a week or two.

Sophie and Lily's Outdoor getaway!!

The swingset isn't quite finished, but when it is, I will get better pics of it. As you can see, Lily is just thrilled :) Thank you Daddy and Papaw!! They braved the cold, wind and rain!!! We really appreciate it!!! I worked the night before so I was sleeping, not a bad deal, huh?

Giving Buddy a Bath

Sorry for the foggy pics, it got a steamy in the tub!! Not as much fun as it looks!!! Buddy jumped out three times with soap all over him. He ran down the stairs once, I had to close the door!!! I had water all over the bathroom floor!! Sophie had fun though and the good news is Buddy doesn't smell like a foot anymore :)
